Worship Leader

Foothills Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a growing congregation in the North Valley. We are seeking an experienced and gifted musician to play keyboard and sing for 2 weekly worship services. This is a part-time, salaried position. Compensation is negotiable based upon experience. This staff position reports to the Pastor and the Music Director. Desired qualities and expectations include:

• Visible and experienced presence in worship
• Learn and lead new music for congregational singing
• Assist in planning worship for liturgical year
• Awareness of congregational need and appropriate tone of worship
• Help develop/grow new Saturday evening worship experience
• Read and play well from written music, as well as ability to improvise in a band setting
• Provide strong musical introductions and transitions to create an overall flow for the worship service
